The pitch here is location above all else. Areej Fatima Girls Hostel sits on Street No. 1, directly opposite the GP Gate of the University of Agriculture, and for a UAF student that proximity changes the whole shape of the day — no rickshaw fare, no early alarm for the commute. GCU Faisalabad is a little over a kilometre off, around fifteen minutes on foot. The rooms are kept simple and furnished: beds, mattresses and geysers for hot water, with filtered drinking water and Wi-Fi as the everyday essentials. There isn't a long amenity list, and the rent reflects the setting rather than the frills, running PKR 17,500 to PKR 28,750 a month across room types. What the neighbourhood does offer is reassurance and convenience together — the Civil Lines Police Station is barely a couple of minutes away, an SB Store is close for daily bits, and Mr. Roll and Miss Biryani is within easy reach when hunger strikes late. For students whose classes are right across the road, the appeal is obvious: less time travelling, more time studying.
