For a student at IUB, the walk to campus from here runs about ten minutes, which puts the university roughly 0.86 km away and makes the morning routine an easy one. The hostel sits in Faisal Colony Sharqi, in the Darbar Mahal Town pocket of Bahawalpur, with the Bahawalgarh Palace Complex barely 200 metres off and Jamia Mosque Sadiq close enough to reach on foot for prayers. Rooms come furnished for a boy who just wants to move in and start studying: a bed and mattress are provided, so there is no scramble for basic furniture, and Wi-Fi keeps assignments and video lectures ticking along. A dedicated study area gives residents somewhere to sit and work away from the beds, and UPS power backup means load-shedding does not throw the evening into darkness or cut a session short.
