Budget is often the deciding factor for a student choosing where to live, and City Boys Hostel keeps that firmly in mind, with monthly rents starting at PKR 18,750 and topping out around PKR 28,750. Sitting on Rashid Minhas Road in Gulshan-e-Jamal, it puts boys on one of the area's main routes while still furnishing rooms properly: beds, mattresses and wardrobes come as standard, geysers supply hot water, and filtered drinking water saves the trouble of buying bottles. Wi-Fi runs across the building for assignments and late submissions. The engineering and general campuses lie a few kilometres north, with SSUET and FUUAST Karachi both a little over three kilometres away and NED a touch further, so students spread across those universities can all make it work from here. Daily needs barely require leaving the block, with a barbecue restaurant right outside, a couple of bank branches nearby and the Jamia Masjid close at hand. For boys who want an affordable, furnished monthly room on a well-connected road without paying for frills, it delivers exactly that and little else, which is often precisely the point.
