Being under a kilometre from LUMS is the headline here, and for anyone attached to that campus it is hard to overstate what an eleven-minute walk to lectures does for the rhythm of a semester. Garrison Boys Hostel sits in the Punjab Small Industries Housing Society in Alfalah Town, near the LESCO office, and prices its rooms from 31,250 to 51,250 PKR per month. Meals are handled in-house through a mess, so residents are not left improvising dinner every night, and the rooms come furnished with beds, mattresses, wardrobes and study tables. There is a proper study area for heads-down work, CCTV across the property, and Wi-Fi throughout. Society Park is a short stroll at under 300 metres for a break from the books, and a Tayyeba Super Store and Geo Hospital are both close for the practical side of daily life. Beyond LUMS, Punjab University and ITU are considerably further out at 6km and 8km respectively. For a LUMS student who values proximity and a reliable mess above all, it makes an obvious kind of sense.
