Set on a farmhouse plot in Gulberg Greens, Golden Resort leans towards guests looking for a bit of space and a getaway feel without leaving the city behind. The grounds come with parking, an on-site gym for anyone keen to keep their routine going, and attached bathrooms, beds and mattresses in the rooms, all tied together with Wi-Fi. Rates are refreshingly flexible, anywhere from PKR 11,500 to PKR 22,500 per night depending on what you book. Although it has a retreat-like address, it is far from isolated: Muslim Youth University, NUTECH, and FAST are each roughly three to three and a half kilometres out, and the everyday conveniences of I-10 Markaz are practically on the doorstep, with a KFC, a cash-and-carry, a mosque, and a bank branch all within about 300 metres. That combination, an open, relaxed setting with markets and campuses close at hand, makes it an easy pick for a weekend break, a family gathering, or a comfortable stopover with room to breathe.
