Westridge is a quieter, more spread-out part of Rawalpindi, and Horain Boys Hostel makes a decent case for basing yourself there. Each room is fitted out with a bed, mattress, wardrobe and study table, so you arrive to a space that's ready to live and work in from day one. UPS power backup and Wi-Fi handle the practicalities of exams and online submissions when the electricity or connection would otherwise let you down. Nusrat Hospital is close by at about 150 metres, a reassuring thing to have on the doorstep, while Roots International, Charing Cross and the Rawalpindi Traffic Police office are all within walking range. The universities here are a bit further out than in the Satellite Town hostels: NUTECH is the nearest at 3.1 kilometres, a thirty-seven-minute walk, with FJWU and NUML Rawalpindi at roughly 3.9 and 4.2 kilometres, so students at those campuses will likely rely on transport for the daily commute. Rent runs between PKR 21,250 and PKR 36,250 per month depending on the room. For someone who prefers a calmer neighbourhood and doesn't mind commuting to class, it's a comfortable, well-furnished option.
