Rahat Abad's Road No. 2 puts students close to the heart of Peshawar's university belt, and Khushal Khan Khattak Hostel No. 1 makes the most of it, sitting about a ten-minute walk from Islamia College and a quarter-hour from the University of Peshawar. Meals are handled by an on-site cook, so residents don't lose time to shopping and cooking around lectures, and laundry is taken care of on the premises too. Come winter, geysers keep the hot water flowing, and there's a study area for the stretches when a room won't do for revision. Monthly rent runs from PKR 30,000 to PKR 40,000, placing it in the mid-to-upper bracket for the neighbourhood. The immediate area is easy to get on with: the Madina Market mosque is barely a hundred metres away, and the wider UET Peshawar grounds sit just up the road. Sarhad University is the outlier at around 6 km if that's where a resident heads.
