Tucked into Suite No 41 of the HandiCraft Market on Abdullah Haroon Road in Saddar, Luxury Al Jannat Hotel puts guests right in the thick of old Karachi's shopping and eating streets. Mashriq Centre is barely a step outside the door, and Azizia Restaurant sits just around the corner for a late dinner, with the CMA Post Office and Medina Center both within a couple of minutes' walk. Rooms come with air conditioning, which is no small mercy in this part of the city, and each is set up with a proper bed and mattress, attached bathrooms and Wi-Fi that holds up for the usual browsing and calls. Nightly rates run from PKR 13,500 up to PKR 18,000 depending on the room, so there's a bit of range for visitors travelling on different budgets. It suits people in town for the medical colleges too: Bahria Medical Karachi and Bahria Karachi are both under three kilometres out, and Indus University sits a little under four. The address takes some finding the first time, but once you know the market it is genuinely central, and that saddar location is the whole point.
