Value is the honest headline here. At 22,500 to 41,250 PKR per month, this is among the more affordable co-ed options near NED, and yet the room list is unusually full. Beds and mattresses come standard, wardrobes give you somewhere to actually store your things, and there is a shared study area for coursework. A TV lounge offers a place to unwind between classes, UPS power backup rides out the load-shedding, and parking is available if you keep a bike or car. Wi-Fi is included. NED University of Engineering and Technology is the obvious draw, sitting under 300 metres away, about a three-minute walk, while IBT Karachi and SSUET are both a little over two and a half kilometres off. The setting is thoroughly academic: the Engr Abul Kamal Library is close, and the Visual Studies canteen is nearby for a break. For an engineering student who wants to be near NED without stretching the monthly budget, and who appreciates having wardrobes, a lounge and parking rather than just a bare bed, this hostel makes a genuinely strong case for itself.
