If you want somewhere calmer than central Karachi for a few nights, Nauman's BnB sits deep in DHA Phase 8, on a quiet lane off Khayaban-e-Roomi in the Al Murtaza commercial pocket. The immediate surroundings are as convenient as they come: a Shop n Go is metres from the gate, Valletta Kitchen is close enough to walk to for a meal, and a Faysal Bank branch is just up the road. Guests get a TV lounge to unwind in, geysers so hot water is never a scramble in the morning, plus attached bathrooms, beds and mattresses supplied, and Wi-Fi throughout. Nightly rates sit between PKR 8,000 and PKR 15,000, which gives couples and small families a fair spread to choose from. The location works nicely for anyone visiting the universities on this side of town, with Greenwich University around two and a half kilometres away and DHA Suffa a touch further at under three. It has the feel of a residential guest house rather than a busy hotel, which is exactly what a lot of visitors to Defence are after.
