Load-shedding is the quiet enemy of exam season, and the UPS power backup here is exactly the kind of thing that keeps a study session going when the neighbourhood goes dark — a real consideration in a Pindi summer. The hostel sits on 6th Road near Saddiqui Chowk in Block D, a seven-minute walk from VU Rawalpindi and just up from Rawalpindi Women University, with a mosque and a public school within a couple of hundred metres. Rent runs between PKR 22,500 and PKR 33,750 a month depending on the room. Alongside the beds and mattresses, residents get filtered drinking water and study tables in the rooms, and Wi-Fi covers the building for classes and coursework. Talha Heights is close by for the usual conveniences. Girls enrolled at Preston Islamabad or FAST Islamabad can commute, though both campuses sit a few kilometres out. It's a sensible, well-equipped choice for a student who has been burned by unreliable power before and wants a place where the lights — and the router — stay on.
