The name promises grandeur, but The Grand Palace keeps its actual offering refreshingly simple: rooms with beds already provided and a location that does the heavy lifting. Al Fawz Academy is just a couple of hundred metres away, Dubai Cash and Carry is close for any last-minute shopping, and the Mall of Islamabad sits under a kilometre off for a proper outing. Getting around is easy too, with the minivan number 120 to G9 stopping less than a kilometre away, which is a genuine plus if you are without your own transport. For guests visiting the universities, VU Islamabad is under four kilometres, about a forty-four-minute walk, with Muslim Youth University and Bahria Islamabad a touch further out. Nightly rates run between PKR 7,601 and PKR 13,265, so you can keep it economical or spend a little more for the room you prefer. This is a plain-and-honest overnight base for a short stay, well placed for shopping, transport links and campus trips without dressing itself up as more than it is.
