The mess is what sets this Gulshan-e-Iqbal hostel apart. Sharing a dining hall with other residents means meals are one less thing to worry about, and for a student new to living away from home that daily routine of eating together matters more than most amenities. Beyond the food, the KSO headquarters in Block 13-B covers the essentials well: Wi-Fi throughout, geysers for hot water, filtered drinking water, a study area, and a laundry service, with beds and mattresses provided so rooms are ready from day one. Rent sits between PKR 37,500 and PKR 47,500 per month. FUUAST is the closest campus at around ten minutes on foot, roughly 830 metres, with SSUET and IBT Karachi both a manageable distance further out.
